George Washington penned somewhere between 18,000 and 20,000 letters in his lifetime.

Nowadays, we are focused on writing letters and that can be a shame. Washington is one of the persons that wrote 20 thousand letters during his lifetime, more than many of us ever will.

Sure, we are focused on sending emails on a daily basis, but if you stay and think about it, this really was an incredible thing and quite the achievement. He was one of the persons that actually wrote all his correspondence by hand, the true sign of a great leader.

You just can’t see something like that any more. But it shows the commitment that he had to communicating with everyone fast and easy. It wasn’t a simple thing for sure, but it did bring in front some pretty impressive results in the end.

So, this is a life lesson for all of us. Dedication is key in a variety of situations, especially something this drastic. It’s unique, incredible and one of the best things that you can do out there. Trying to surpass yourself and being dedicated to something like Washington was to penning his own letters is admirable and a wonderful experience!
