Elephants have 3 times the number of neurons that humans have, and no-one knows why they aren’t smarter than us.
Apparently it doesn’t matter what you have, it also comes down to the way you use it. The idea here is that elephants do tend to have a whole lot of neurons and despite that, they don’t really use all of those. It’s an interesting thing to keep in mind.
The more outstanding thing to note though is that they most likely don’t know that much to begin with. The experience on its own is incredible and that can really become an outstanding thing to be honest. But the simple fact that elephants are not very smart is something you would expect.
They are not the most impressive animals when it comes to reminding stuff, and that can easily be seen when you encounter them. But why do they have more neurons? As we mentioned above, it mostly comes down to the way you use what you have. It seems that the more neurons you have, the harder it is to control them. So, most likely humans have the perfect amount of neurons and that can be quite impressive to be honest!
