Cristiano Ronaldo funded the education of a 7-year-old survivor of the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia. He was found wearing a Portuguese jersey. The boy grew up to be a soccer player and was signed by Sporting Lisbon in 2015.

Things like this seem to show that there is indeed a destiny and one person saved by a football player may indeed become a football player in the end. This is the type of thing that clearly shows how life can easily be pushed in the righty direction by a thing which isn’t exactly the way you would expect. It’s safe to say that life is extraordinary in its own right and the simple fact that you have so many options does tend to impress everyone.

It’s unclear why that boy chose to play football, but maybe the inspiration he received from his mentor did help quite a bit here. Obviously, it’s one of the things that helped push him to the next level and in the end it was a rather incredible, unique experience for everyone.

Sure, people may not have a chance after a tsunami strikes, so the last thing they think about is their future. But the reality is that this survivor was among the lucky ones and he does have a great future in front of him!
